Most reunions end up split between two or three rentals, and half the family misses the part everyone talks about later. The Lodge holds the whole group in one house: 6 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 11 beds and sleeping room for up to 20, on three levels with decks on every one of them.
It sits on the brow of Lookout Mountain outside Mentone, Alabama, looking down a wide valley. Grandparents get the main-level suite with only a few steps. Kids take the bunk room upstairs. Everyone eats at the same table.
Where everyone sleeps

Cooking for a crowd
The kitchen is built for reunion cooking: a large island, full-size appliances, and a dining table that seats the family at once, with more seating in the great room. The grocery run is worth planning ahead – the closest full grocery stores are in Fort Payne, about 20 minutes away, so most families bring the big items with them.
Outside there is a hot tub, a fire pit area and three levels of deck, which is usually where the after-dinner part of the reunion ends up.

Pets are welcome for a $50 fee, which helps when family is driving in from several states.
Dates, rates and holding the weekend
Sunday through Thursday nights start at $375 plus cleaning, and reunions that run midweek get the best rate of the year. Most dates have a 2-night minimum; the calendar shows the exact minimum for your dates.
Reunions are usually booked well ahead, especially around Thanksgiving, July 4th and fall color in late October. Booking direct means you deal with Josh, the owner, and can ask about extra nights, early check-in or a group quote.
